Community Groups
Get involved by joining one of the groups driven by Aspen community members. Anyone using Aspen or interested in learning more about Aspen is welcome to attend.

Aspen Community Meeting
What: The Aspen Community Gathering is a community meeting to discuss Aspen features, upcoming releases, and how libraries are leveraging Aspen. Anyone using Aspen or interested in learning more about Aspen is welcome to attend.
Each Community Gathering will kick off with a Q+A of major features in the monthly release and is followed by discussion topics, and open time. Recordings of newest features and demos will be available before the Aspen Community Gathering, following the release to test first Thursday.
When: Monthly, every second Thursday (starting April 10th, 2025) at 8:00 am PST / 9:00 am MST / 10:00 am CST / 11:00 am EST
Please note the Aspen Community Meeting and Aspen Gathering have merged into Aspen Community Gathering as of May 2025.

Aspen Automated Testing
This group uses the #testing slack channel.
What: Community members work together to create and refine automated tests for Aspen.
When: Bi-monthly on First and Fourth Tuesdays, 11:00 am Eastern / 8:00 am Pacific
Aspen Catalogers Group
This group uses the #catalogers Slack channel.
What: Catalogers unite! Come to discuss cataloging-related topics and questions related to Aspen.
When: Monthly on Third Thursdays, 2:00-3:30 pm Eastern / 11:00 am-12:30 pm Pacific
AspenCon Planning Committee
What: This group plans AspenCon - a conference celebrating everything Aspen!
When: (Meeting frequency varies depending on the need) Wednesdays, 10 am Eastern / 7 pm Pacific. See Community calendar for more info.
Aspen for Consortiums
This group uses the #consortium Slack channel.
What: Does your consortium use Aspen? Are you interested in discussing how Aspen can continue to support consortia of all types and sizes? Join us!

Aspen Community Issue Triage
This group uses the #community-tool-selection Slack channel.
What: This group looks at questions and issues submitted to the community Jira and puts our heads together to come up with answers and/or next steps. No experience is needed to join us, and it's a great place to learn more about how Aspen works!

Aspen Documentation Group
This group uses the #documentation Slack channel.
What: This group is dedicated to the centralization and organization of available Aspen documentation.
When: Monthly on the fourth Thursday at 1:00 pm Eastern / 10:00 am pacific.
LiDA Users Group

What: Interested in connecting with other LiDA users? Come to discuss any and all things LiDA!

Community Tool Working Group

This group is tasked with selecting and configuring tools that support the Aspen Community such as the community development tool and our chat software.
